Production / shipping times?
90% of my floats are made to order from scratch. Because of this and due to the number of orders I receive, it usually takes me 25-30 days to ship an order from being received.
Exceptions to this are: DIY kits / spare parts; Oak boxes; float rolls & gift vouchers - if you are ordering only one or a combination of these, as they are always in stock - these will normally be dispatched in 3 working days. Vouchers can even be emailed if required urgently.
Returns
Buy with confidence.
I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
If for any reason you are not entirely happy with your floats, please just return them to me in the original condition within 14 days of receipt and I will issue you a full refund - no questions asked (although it would be nice to know so I might improve the quality of my service!).
If anything has arrived damaged I would appreciate photographs to help me make a claim against the delivery service.
Please send to:

You must include a note inside so I know who has returned the floats to issue the refund. Failure to do so could result in delays.
PLEASE NOTE - I will not be responsible for any returned items that go missing in the post - it is your responsibility to organise adequate cover with the post office. Further, I can not refund the cost of return postage. Sorry.
Re-used packaging?
I have a strong desire to recycle any and all packaging I get from my personal purchases, my company orders or even those of my neighbours. To that purpose, you may recieve your order in a box marked Amazon or some other such. Please take it in the spirit that it was intended. Its just me trying to save the planet one box at a time (oh, and I was born up north so I'm tight wi' me brass anall). I am lucky to have a neighbour who's company (shout out to Brandon Tool Hire Devon) gets lots of spare single use packaging - paper, bubble wrap and boxes. Lots of orders I send give these materials a second use. Please try and recyle them when you get them too.
Why is there a stick in my order?
Yes, many orders go out with a random stick in the box - basically looks like I pruned a tree and some ended up in the box. Well I did but it got in the box on purpose - it helps stop the box and hence your delicate floats inside from getting bent/snapped during delivery. It also functions as a spare emergency float if you get really desperate!
Split Shot weight conversions (into gms)
In the UK anglers still use traditional (read slightly dated and quirky) methods of calculating the cocking weights of their floats using split shot, origionally derived from the world of shotguns and bird shooting.
However, for my European customers and anyone else happier to work in metric (grams), here is a convenient conversion chart which also helps show the replationship between the different shot sizes. If a float is marked as 1SSG, you could use 4BB or 3BB + 2x No4 - as long as they add up to 1.6g - they are all the same! Different shot combinations (along with placement from the hook/float) are used to control how fast or slow the bait falls through the water (and can help with casting)
1 x SSG = 1.6G (or 2x AAA)
1 x AAA = 0.8G (or 2x BB)
1 x BB = 0.4G (or 2x No.4)
1 x No.1 = 0.3G
1 x N0.4 = 0.2G (or 2x No.6)
1 x No.6 = 0.1G (or 2x No.8)
